Computer Back Syndrome & Poor Posture
Is your back hunched over a computer all day? Research has shown that uneven postural alignment or poor posture places undue stress on the muscles, ligaments and joints especially of the spine. This poor posture is typically seen especially in people who work at computers all day. Sitting with the shoulders rounded forward and the head tilted towards the computer display may result in pain and spinal misalignments (subluxation).
Treating Computer Back Syndrome & Improving Posture
Chiropractic care may help you develop a new and more natural upright posture to reduce the current effects and also prevent Computer Back Syndrome from occurring. Chiropractic care may also reduce the symptoms often associated with poor posture or working over a computer for long hours. These may include shoulder pain and stiffness, neck pain, back pain, headache, tightness, and tension. This may include spinal adjustments, exercises, stretches, and even making some changes to the way you position yourself at your desk. |
